Anyone got any more of that context?
An Embedded Software Engineer who does game dev as a hobby.
Anyone got any more of that context?
So the quality is worth the price of not owning the work you do?
I guess everyone has to make their own call…
It has its usages. Unfortunately, the market pressures are going to require companies to use them in a way to make investors happy. The average Joe is probably going to have a bad time.
To attempt to wake up those people who think Elon is actually God’s gift of mankind.
Indis are a little better. At least there is a chance they will make something new and interesting instead of the 7th version of the same shooter.
Still chasing that dollar bill though.
I think that is how I would be if on a ship.without a computer, going insane.
I wonder if we will get to a point where capacitor batteries will be too good.
Can you image a small issue leading to an entire instantaneous energy dump of a large capacity capacitor while on an airplane?
Make me wonder if we will limit how fast a capacitor can discharge in some consumer goods.
The science on most of this stuff is done already. Most of your requests could be implemented tomorrow. No problem.
This is not a science problem. This is a capitalism problem.
I am sorry others didn’t hear you. I saw your edit and I think it makes sense. I hope you feel better soon. Emotions are a wild ride. I know from experience.
I don’t think you are causing any problems by not posting a small description of the project.
Sounds like you just don’t want to, why not just say that?
Didn’t they change license at some point, so it’s no longer open source?
So I take issue with this approach. If you specify specific rules and regulations down to the percentage. You get into a situation where you don’t really know the outcome and the system may be more complex than somebody understands it to be.
So I could do some research and come up with some very specific stuff to try. Setting aside finding a representative that would give you exactly what you wanted, those specific elements might not get the outcome that was desired. Meanwhile, a lot of political willpower would have been put towards getting those specific things.
This also kind of defeats democracy. If I am single-handedly deciding what policies should be enacted, those policies are not decided. Democratically.
So if the original poster wanted specific policies to fix problems. I would not have replied, because I don’t understand the current system well enough to make specific policy suggestions.
Don’t get me wrong. Specific policies will be necessary for people running for office, and I think it’s good to discuss them.
Now if somebody was running for office on increasing the tax for the rich and/or subsidizing food for housing. This would be a person I would vote for.
What is your definition of tangible? These problems are large. We are not going to solve it by switching a percentage a couple points to the left or right.
Tax the rich more. Decommodify food and housing.
If they do it right, you won’t even notice or feel like you have no choice to buy something.
They want to know you better than you know yourself. I doubt they would be interested in any information you would provide because it would be useless compared to what they can get.
Most of the phyc research is done by large companies to crack all our brains open so we open our wallets.
You’re probably depressed because that is what they want you to be. So you maximize screen time for adds and purchases.
Get mad. Slowly diying while depressed and high is what they want you to do. They set up the system for you to suffer like this. It gives them power and money and they don’t give two shits about you.
Maybe you can’t win. But you can at least be a massive thorn in their side before you go. If you can’t take them down, setup others to take them down. Maybe not this generation, but the next.
Don’t forget to enjoy your life when you can. Without pain, there is no joy.
Who is “they”? You have to find out for yourself. Start by trying to figure out who is benefiting from your suffering. Keep asking questions. Try to make sense of the world. You’re doing good so far.
This happens in close source software too. You just don’t find out about it until it gets bad enough.
I like it. I prefer the honesty.
I don’t get the “take off your shoes” part. Is this a meme I have missed?
