That was my question - it looks the same as every windows taskbar, just centered and “floating”.

Is a dock just a (visually floating) taskbar locked to the bottom edge, or am I missing some nuance?
Ooh, what does goblin mode look like?
Woah, that’s dope as heck. Thank you!
It slaps!
Fuji-9 was my first thought too. Love ya!
Good to know. I just escaped’em.
Don’t know what to tell you then, bud. Maybe ask your instance admin help community, or if you use a third party app go to them.
You can format code with back ticks, by the way.
def potato(yum)
```def potato(yum)```
I’ve not had any trouble pasting text. Maybe there’s a maximum length?
I absolutely love this. I happily smash these little bastards on sight.
Was that one of their excellent April Fool’s Day items? I looked forward to seeing the joke items they put out every year.
Both are very cool.
I can get into initramfs on that drive now, but the first thing it says is “no root device specified. Boot arguments must include a root= parameter”. I assume I’d add that to GRUB, if I could see the OS in GRUB!
<Furious searching>
Then from the BusyBox initramfs prompt, i try vgchange -ay
to try and activate the LVM partitions…? , and it activates three logical volumes from each of the two Debians. I figured out that I can pass it my correct LVM group, and it only activated those three. I exit from the initramfs Prompt and it says it can’t find some files in /root/proc, then it hangs forever.
Man, all the stack overflow stuff I see says things like “mount the root to a new folder, then fix the problem, then reboot.” But doesn’t ever explain how to actually do some of it. I’m just too new to follow the “yada yada”!
I didn’t update GRUB intentionally, but who knows. Installing and reading docs, thanks for the tip.
Star Trek: Armada were fun.
Fascinating, thank you.
I’ve never heard him speak. What an odd quavering voice he has!
All my homies hate Ea-nāsir. !reallyshittycopper@lemmy.world
Fair enough!
I have been very happily using an ultra wide monitor, so a left-side vertical taskbar has been the most comfortable for me.
