Some of them are plenty smart - they got good grades and went to good colleges and have professional jobs. They’re engineers, teachers, what have you. That’s a good way to put it. It’s hard to fathom, but everyone universally suffered loss during COVID. The luckiest only lost experiences and opportunities, but that still sucks a fucking lot.
