I’m running silverblue, which works pretty well for a few years now. The only limitation I’ve encountered is getting non-packaged software to work, such as drivers and accompanying software for my racing wheel.

I’ve been running Silverblue for 2 years. Apart from the hiccups mostly at the beginning of that time, things have been running very smooth and I haven’t had any issues worth mentioning. Things that have been and still are hassles are e.g. missing media codecs (ffmpeg and friends) and kernel configs & modules (e.g. drivers such as nvidia). I had to learn a few new tricks with flatpak but my major use case - Steam - runs as flawless as it does on other platforms.
awesome, thanks, just subscribed!
If I open the sidebar on any instance other than my home instance, I’m being informed that I’m not logged in:
You are not logged in. However you can subscribe from another Fediverse account, for example Lemmy or Mastodon. To do this, paste the following into the search field of your instance: !gardening@ash1-lem-i1-u4829.vm.elestio.app
It may work this way, but this seems to be the hostname of the VM you’re running this on which will eventually change.
When I try to subscribe to the gardening sub (is that what we still call them?), I get the following link:
!gardening@ash1-lem-i1-u4829.vm.elestio.app
This probably isn’t the server name you want, probably needs just a configuration somewhere.
a git repository configured to ignore basically everything except the dotfiles. For my sway config I load configs from a symlinked folder, which points to a different config depending on the machine being configured.
