Omg, did you just invent MicroAI’s? I love it. Huge potential.
I make things with computers. Preferably artsy things, but I also like to work on random scripts and pipelines. I like D&D & video games, but don’t always have time to play them. I like pet chicken. I watch soccer, especially NWSL & USWNT, as well as some WSL and whatever happens to be on.

I guess I’m not sure how others build with micro services, but using AWS SAM is stupid simple, and the only maintenance we’ve ever had to do is update a Node version. 🤷
I mean, that’s what you get for buying the cheaper phone! Except I got the 7 Pro, and it feels like it was abandoned as soon as the 8 was announced. As soon as I read that I wasn’t getting functionality that was clearly cloud functionality, I realized that Google stopped giving 2 shits about existing users that don’t immediately upgrade to the latest phone. Also it sucked at making phone calls, so that was the last Pixel phone for me.
I loved Linux at work when I had a sysadmin. Shit worked great. At home I started using Linux and despite some driver issues, it was mostly good. Then I started working for myself (so no more sysadmin). Some Linux update totally screwed up my computer and I lost a lot of work. It also became too much work to try and configure the apps that I needed to use for work. Switched to windows and it’s been pretty smooth sailing. Still boot up Linux now and again for this or that, but I don’t trust it enough as a daily driver for my needs.
Started playing The Lamplighters League after seeing that it’s on game pass. Also still playing Sea of Stars, where I just defeated the Dweller, and now feel betrayed 😭
Just played the Lamplighters League demo and liked it quite a bit. Only bummer is that it does not play well on steam deck, so I will hold off for a while.
There was a place on Venice beach called Rose’s Thai Window which had the best pad Thai. You could get it mild, medium, spicy, or ‘Rose spicy’, which is how she made it for herself. Whenever we tried to order it Rose spicy, she would flat out tell us no. On the last day the place was open, before she moved back to Thailand, she finally made it for us. I lasted literally 2 bites before I couldn’t taste anything anymore, except pain.
This looks amazing. Being able to switch your class at any time seems a bit weird. I wonder why they don’t just have you take control of one of the other characters in your party instead?
Whenever we cross state lines we raise our hands and go “whoop, whoop.” I have no idea when this started, but it brings us joy whenever we’re on a road trip.
Yep, I use for Xbox cloud gaming on steam deck.
We did it! Germany is a basketball nation now.
Playing Sea of Stars on gamepass, and Baldur’s Gate 3, co-op with my wife. Sea of Stars is pretty fun and kind of relaxing. I want to like BG3 more than I do. Lots of frustrations with the combat, and the waypoint/journaling system.
I know I’m late to respond, but I did check out jagged alliance 3,and it looks awesome. Thanks for the recommendation!
I’ve played more BG3 now, and maybe I’m an idiot, but I can’t figure out how to block anything. E.g. I’ll stand at the top of a ladder to block enemies from climbing up, but they’ll happily climb up and walk right through me. Or standing on a narrow beam, and somehow they go to stand next to me on the narrow side to push me off? What am I missing? How are you able to block any space?
I think I’ve tried Snow Crash 2 or 3 times, but have never made it very far in. It’s my friend’s favorite book, so I may try again sometime, but I think it’s just not for me, even though the subject matter is totally up my alley.
Waves 3D printed wand… Magic also no workie in real world 😖
Huh, I’m not sure I agree. It’s fairly straightforward to represent any volume as a 3D grid, and depending on how the game system does the math, it’s easy to count cells on any diagonal. I think the controls are a bit messy, but Solasta has a totally usable 3D grid for things like flying, and also shows how area effects like spheres or such affect surfaces on different levels.
I like how the code adds a 0 at the start.
