This whole “mixed reality experience” thing has me curious: do any of you just add imaginary images to your surroundings in your mind? Just by visualizing?

For example, I have several paintings on my walls that aren’t real, but look to me as if they were. I switch them up depending on mood, or just turn them off. Or just basic stuff like having words and numbers floating in front of me as an aid when doing math or planning?

  • I just browse things for fun, mostly. I rarely have anything important to add, so I rarely even comment.

I did try making a few memes, but I don’t really have ideas for general memes. I only make memes for specific friends about some very specific thing they or I said or did, and those don’t really fit in here.

  • The couple of people I’ve got to try it out didn’t stick either. But after a few years, they are now switching some old laptops to Linux to keep using them. Which is quite nice to see! It makes me happy just to see people giving Linux a chance, but even happier when they actually get some benefit out of it.

  • The new swiping behavior is grinding my gears as well. With so many options for it in the settings, I’m surprised they didn’t just have the people in channel list as an option. I’m also not a big fan of the private message section, but it doesn’t bother me nearly as much. Overall a nice update though.

I’ve never done this exactly, but I have always used hand gestures (even way before I saw my first touchscreen) to move and manipulate images, text, maps, math equations, etc. in my mind. It’s very helpful, but I’m pretty sure people think me insane.
