Love me a good keyboard clit
Threads is the only movie I needed to take a break from watching before I finished it. It was right after Ruth walks through town for the first time after the bombs drop…
Meme culture moves quick on lemmy, I have no idea where the beans came from or what it means, and I think it’ll be replaced with something else by the time I figure it out
I don’t think it matters, if people have a problem with it they need to learn how to laugh at themselves. Redditors certainly behave like lemmings sometimes, and some self-deprecating humor over here calling ourselves lemmings is pretty funny
Shame. I have a Samsung Z Flip 4, and I’m blown away by how much I love this phone. I’m desperately hoping foldable phones are the future, or an expected option like how “pro” or bigger size models are. The only way I can see that being the reality is widespread adoption by manufacturers, and if new models run into issues like this that hurts their future.
I think its community has grown permanently. It just depends how much of who’s here is part of that growth. When the dust settles, I bet people will go back to reddit or somewhere else. But when that time comes, who will be part of the remnants? 50% of us? More? Less? I have no idea.
I think an important step in pumping that percentage up is to stop asking about this. Every day seemingly dozens of people ask this same question about Lemmy’s future. This might be pessimistic, but at this point I’m beginning to think many people are either expecting or hoping for Lemmy to fail.
God. This is the first I’m heading of Reddit staff actively organizing against Lemmy- what’s being said?
Haven’t read the article because it’s behind a sign up, and fuck that imo. But if the headline is accurate, it’s kind of scary that the government can misplace a couple billion to what sounds like a simple accounting mistake
I LOVE the ham and Swiss croissants, super yummy imo
Im pretty sure that Lemmy, even if it doesn’t grow to eclipse Reddit, will have a nice little following of its own that makes it a suitable substitution
I’d just piss on the gate or something, make them rethink that decision
This makes sense to me. I only came over to Lemmy because of the reddit API drama, and I’m pretty impressed with it so far! I’d love for it to grow, so I hope this is a death knell or sign of things to come for Reddit.
But do we know why it was down? If it was something like a ddos (or claimed to be) this could be used to vilify the protestors.
As a historian, I can say something over 1000 years old that is not fragmented or on the verge of being fragmented is very good condition. Not missing anything or any notable pieces too? Damn near mint
