MLK was not the entirety of the civil rights movement and his legacy was whitewashed by Reagan to distort history. MLK also understood that, “riots are the language of the unheard.” Riots occurred because civil rights were not given when they asked nicely.

Thanks! I thought it would be nice to make an easy going and encouraging community. All achievements, big and small, are welcome.

I completely understand why people would want a tighter instance. I started using Reddit significantly less awhile ago because a good chunk of the content and comments were either misinformed, malicious, or both. I’m hopeful that large instances can foster friendlier and healthier cultures, but right now I’m seeing so many people willing to make excuses for assholes and blaming the people that don’t want to deal with those assholes.

The platform allows for people to curate their instances into smaller communities if that is what they are after. They found the platform and for some reason people are mad at them for doing it. Their goal is to create a small safe and welcoming place. To do so they will inherently have a smaller community and that’s okay.
