I’ve seen this quote before on r/IslamicCommunism. Honestly, when I first heard about it, it was nearly a mind-blow revelation to me that the USSR had the potential to leave one of its only flaws under its SECOND ruler. Sadly, Kruschev and Gorbachev screwed it up and how we have to live in a (so far) unipolar US dominated world. Inshallah, this will change, and a popular middle Eastern revolution will be able to establish a Muslim communist khalifa.
Yep, that’s exactly what I’m saying! Although we have a critical support of the CCP and the USSR, their policies on religion are not their strong suit, and most definitely led to the growth of reactionary elements in religious circles. I feel like Hakim’s video (hope it goes back up soon) on the faults of former socialist experiments accurately sums it up in that regard. Thankfully, religious reactionary elements are becoming less prevalent, at least in Islamic circles, from my own personal understanding.
Inshallah Muslims will realize that Western capitalist hegemony is one and the same with Islamophobia, and realize that a true anti-imerialist Islamic caliphate can only be communist if it follows Islamic Sharia.
Absolutely agree. Islam is a perfect religion, and as a born Muslim, we are all on our own paths of learning. My own path of learning has shown me that Islam is still one of the most progressive forces on the planet, and that Islam is most closely defined as communist.
Finally someone with a brain. The thing about Salafis and Wahabbis being funded and created by the British and French makes more sense now why they utterly hate communism, and how islamqa.info, the primary Salafi source of Islamic knowledge, has their main scholar without an Ijaaza (Islamic title stating that he is to be trusted because he went through rigorous training, similar to a doctor with a title of an MD) and has horribly idiotic fatwas that have no basis, such as stating that communism is inherently atheist and that evolution is incompatible with Islam (it’s not).
