But would it not be easy for a user to catch when the app is using the mic or camera when it’s not supposed to? the lights are an iOS feature that can’t be disabled.
You’re absolutely right micro-optimization, I found that I did too much of that in 2022 and 23 and really cut down on that this year, I found that doing so is basically never worth it. I’m not gonna do that with privacy either, I’m focusing on what actions I can take that will make big improvements to my privacy rather than tweak every little thing.
Firefox changes the capacity dynamically, I set browser.cache.disk.capacity to false in about:config and browser.cache.disk.capacity to 1024000 (the storage amount in MBs)
I have UBlock Origin, I assume that one that one is good?
The issue with bookmarks is that it takes too much navigation to open one and browsers don’t allow to select multiple in a folder to open
Do u have any ideas for things to try on macOS?

For backing up history files.
I’ve received complaints about spamming posts so I added the instance names in the titles. I thought there’s no harm in posting crossposting, I know Lemmy is federated but I want to ensure they show up instead of hoping for automatic feed algorithm to show them when it may or may not.
IDK why I so much flak. If any here downvotes my posts or this comment please respond below with your thoughts to help me figure out how to move forward.
Oh you’re absolutely right, I’ve been in that territory for awhile ago, I haven’t gotten time until lately to make addons.
Which extension was it? Maybe take a look on ur PC.
It does in fact only bookmark the first tab when multiple are selected.
Oh this is exactly what I wanted, thank you!
You should edit the comment to mention that. I just thought you meant translation. While its cool its wouldn’t be beneficial except for users or in situations with unstable wifi or times when you have no internet but have pages load.
Floorp has those features and I’ve been thinking about switching for a while.
Just keep doing things Google will never do, and show why it’s better for the user.
I get that but Google has had built-in translation for years! There are other features that Chrome and Chromium-based browsers have that Firefox still doesn’t including, some sort of implementation of tab groups, easy profile switching, having multiple open simultaneously with only one copy of Firefox (you don’t need multiple copies of Chrome to have multiple profiles).
Ideally I’d have both horizontal and vertical tabs, since its easier to glance horizontal tabs, but I think I’d get used to just horizontal after awhile.
I haven’t looked deeply at the extensions API, but is that a way to do so without loading the page?
But couldn’t the JS runtime track which objects and variables interact with such information, so if they make any HTTP requests with the info after getting it and maybe processing it then it could be rejected?
