“I posted incorrect information and then people downvoted it, so now people can’t see the incorrect information I posted! This site is horrible!”

Sounds like it’s working as advertised. Don’t post incorrect info if you don’t like downvvotes. Upvotes mean “more people should read this.” Why do people need to read you being wrong? How is that a good contribution?

  • A put a hole in the side of a helicopter that left it grounded for a week.

I accidentally tapped it with another piece of the helicopter. I’m happily working on helicopters that are made of metal now, so no more of that nonsense.

Edit: also, honorable mention because it wasn’t my fault, but I made a helicopter drop an external fuel tank when it took off… by replacing a light bulb. It was on the button that makes the helicopter drop the external tanks, but there are failsafes so it will only do it in the air. Apparently the internal switch got stuck, so the second the weight was off of the wheels CLONK… and a tank was laying on the active runway. Excellent.

  • If it’s something you want and your partner doesn’t care one way or the other about, it shouldn’t factor in.

If you want to make the candles you use around the house, maybe they smell nice, maybe they get used, maybe they’re cheaper than store-bought, but that’s a hobby.

If you do a bunch of baking, especially for people outside the home but even inside it, and your partner isn’t all about you cooking, that’s a hobby, and you clean up your own mess. That’s not chores (unless you’re getting paid).

Chores are necessities to keep the communal house going, not anything that takes effort.

That’s honestly a magnificent answer. I know it was supposed to portray her as dumb (and the way she talked was supposed to emphasize that), but it’s a solid out-of-the-box answer that gives insight into their thought process (like that they don’t immediately jump to assuming their talking about sex/relationships).

I didn’t know I could do this until I had to learn how to use a self-cath, and the woman telling me said to start going, then stop, go to put the cath in, and then drain my bladder the rest of the way.

I said “I… don’t know if I can do that. I’ve never tried.” Turns out I could, and it honestly wasn’t difficult. But over 35 years on the planet, and it never occurred to me to try stopping mid-stream.

You are conflating two very different things. About half of the gay men I’ve known were fairly or very masculine, they just were attracted to men. And I’ve known plenty of straight guys that ranged from feminine to downright flamboyant. The way you tell if someone likes men or not is either if they tell you or flirt with you, and if they’re a man, then they are gay (or bi or whatever non-strictly-straight flavor).

Incidentally, most of the (non-trans) men I’ve known that were feminine or flamboyant were artists of some flavor, which tend to be a group with less inhibitions, so I would guess there are plenty of non-artist men that would show more femininity if they felt more comfortable with doing so.

  • I bleed and hurt if I pee sitting down (urethral stricture, had some stuff done, but looking to probably get stints installed), so I pee standing up even if I do have to poop.

Side note, I had no idea how truly awful most urologists (at least in New Jersey) were until I had to get this addressed. It took two years and three doctors (in two different urology systems with many locations, one of which was clearly more of a cash grab than actually giving care), and it was only when I wad getting a vasectomy done an hour and a half away from my house (closest doctor with more than a 2-star rating and with no horror stories) that he was horrified the previous doctor said “make an appointment if it gets worse” in response to blood and pain when urinating.

The first two also seemed to refuse to accept that my 10-year married ass didn’t have an STI despite multiple tests from multiple sources to the contrary and me adamantly expressing that it wasn’t a “burning” pain, it was a “tearing” pain.

Sorry, long rant, but yeah, some of us can’t really pee sitting down.
