Guess that’s why I don’t see any. Jerboa for the win!

Honestly if reddit had come, cap in hand, and says “Hey what can we do to be awesome so you’ll buy premium”
And then listened to our advice? I’d have bought premium to help em out.
Instead, they are acting genuinely insane. Like back when my brother was on cocaine and Adderall and would try to hit me up for money.
Reddit can die.
But the good news is, tech is a highly disruptable industry. Barrier to entry is accessible for regular people.
And that’s why we’re here.
Reddit doesn’t die because we left. They die in a few years when the Fediverse just works better than Reddit. And we fund that.
Speaking of, how do I kick in a few bucks to help out various Lemmy servers? Anyone know?
just find another web site
Okay. Done and done.
It’s difficult to know how seriously to take this. Putin is the king of crappy posturing. Making constant threats to get the allies to act more slowly responding to him.
He also knows that we know that:
Much of Russia’s nuclear arsenal is inoperable due to neglect
He gets to light up ONE nuke, and then Russia is forever over. I wouldn’t be surprised if the rest of the world has a post-nuclear breakup plan for the country.
So, I’m confident that Putin won’t actually nuke anyone, as even he isn’t that stupid. Moving moldy Soviet equipment around makes great posturing and makes us fear him a little bit.
I hope Spez gets sent to Sunnyside Daycare for all eternity.
I’m frankly just grateful we haven’t broken Lemmy.
What was once a “consolation prize” (Lemmy) is quickly rekindling my joy in this type of a site. I haven’t felt this giddy since opening a reddit account in like 2011.
Well, it’s time for change. Let’s gently educate them. We’re not adversaries (we WANT their company to succeed, too!). And it’s our job to save them from themselves.
Frame is as: The Boomers are retiring in a “silver tsunami.” It’s going to be an employee’s market for the next few decades.
So, an employer can either:
Work with a union to have single point of contact to know how to keep workers happy and sticking around the job. Everyone wins.
Crush unions and lose that single point of contact. Then keep wondering, employee by employee what it takes to keep people around. Play whack-a-mole while spending a fortune on re-training and probably end up paying similar wages the union asked for in the first place. Everyone loses.
A union is to the employer’s advantage. A union is capitalism’s solution to keeping the bottom from revolting and embracing communism. Unions are good. Unions are American.
I hope lemmings sticks. It’s cute. It pokes fun at ourselves. It’s great.
I should be upset at you, Homer. But I’m just glad that Lemmy is okay.
Love the app! Thank you for being RiF’s spiritual successor.
He defecated through a sunroof!
So, what’s going to be the first NSFW post?
As a red-blooded, straight cisgender male American… I vote for… Saul Goodman’s ass. (Reference to “Better Call Saul”)
And I’m enjoying lemmy.world
I visit /r/cars A LOT. I’m going to miss that one.
I suspect a new CARS community will pop up here pretty soon, though.
Yeah well, it’s a fucking genocide.
