You don’t know what the word regular means. It does not mean acceptable or morally correct. It’s synonyms include “standard”, “usual”, “typical” etc. It does not imply anything other than that. Dairy milk is the usual, typical, standard substance that is referred to as “milk” by 99.9% of the English speaking world.
If you’re doing it for a friend make sure you ASK if they want Linux, don’t force it on them man that’s not cool. Most normies just want to use Windows for the compatibility and ease of use (call it handholding and restrictive all you want).
I quit Reddit 2 years ago due to the content becoming more and more toxic (maybe it was always toxic) and I’m just so dang happy that my favorite 3rd party Reddit apps have a Lemmy client. I’m using Sync and it’s like coming home. Functionally identical experience but with a cooler community.

Dude just watch the ads so people get paid… It’s like a simple 30 seconds out of your day each time (AT THE WORST… Most ads are not that long and can be skipped). You’re not automatically entitled to free content, the content is generally provided to you under the assumption that you will do your absolutely minimal part by watching an ad.
