Personally I love it. Being able to boost results from some sites while depriotizing or even banning others has been real helpful. Not having unrelated “sponsored” content cluttering up the results is certainly nice as well. The results themselves feel like Google from ten years ago, relevant and on point.

If you don’t get an answer here you might try the privacy communities. There may be a way to convert one of the other calendars to Proton.

Edit : This might not help if you have completely disabled your Google calendar or don’t want to involve Google at all but I was able to add Kansas City’s schedule by going here and adding the calendar to my Google account and then adding the calendar in Proton by adding a calendar and using their Google import. It’s kind of lame, but I didn’t have to have Google calendar installed to do it.

  • Like SimpleLogins. It allows you to create an email on the fly like mudskipper.lemmy@relay.com that you can create an account with (in this case the lemmy part of the email is taken from whatever company you are signing up with. All emails sent to that email will get forwarded on to you. If the account sells your email to spammers you will know exactly what company sold you out and you can disable that email address. Same thing if the company itself spams the hell out of you.

It’s very handy! Only con I have come across is some companies will not accept the address. For those i just move on or create a burner Gmail account.

  • It was a great value! I didn’t constantly subscribe because I am not a big movie buff but I had looked into reupping my sub about 2-3 weeks before they announced the closure but it kept erroring out. I tried a few more times after that figuring it would be fun to ride it off into the sunset as it closed but I think they must have just shut down new subscribers. But $15 a month and very little limitations on what kind of movie you could select. It was Way better than the limited options streaming is giving us.
