You make it sound like Fedora is a lot less stable than Arch. I’ve had one update go wrong in 10 years lol

People who have been using Windows their entire lives simply get intimidated

Dafuq are you doing in other people’s homes?
Sysadmins are all creeps, confirmed

My homedir is an infernal hellhole of junk accumulated over the past 15 years and I wouldn’t have it any other way

Why bot?
Thanks, didn’t realize until I read this lol
Except for needing bnc to keep your nick on some networks, it works very well imo
The reality is that most backends don’t use compiled languages, but stuff like PHP, Java and Python.
NodeJS scores very high on performance, concurrency, and especially IO, in that category.
And calling it abysmal compared to compiled languages is not fair, but yes, there are much better alternatives.
I hate Discord passionately. I miss the days of Mumble + IRC
I’ve had 1 faulty driver since 2011, so I just downgraded in 10 seconds and waited for the next patch
You can bash the Javascript language all you want, but don’t come for its performance lol. Nodejs was very fast across the board when it came out, and still beats most scripting languages. Even some bigger runtimes in IO.

And that level is SUN

Always has been

What data do they share beyond the stuff you told them they can share?

You’re right, that is reasonable

How could they know the actual user count? All they can see is number of downloads, right?
Depends on the environment. For enterprise, it’s shit because there’s no support. For home it’s shit because I want software from this decade.
I would never recommend Debian for an end-user OS. Probably not even for a server, unless you’re somehow infatuated with the worst package management suite there is.
Everyone keeps saying “it’s stable” like all the other distros are not. Debian is just behind.
It does have quite a few upsides as well. Identity theft is harder than ever, everything requires 2FA, there is a lot less bureaucracy and paperwork, and almost everything just works.
Everything is digital, cash is only for drugs and old people. If I travel to the other end of Europe, it feels like the stone ages lol
