It’s a Christmas Miracle!
It’s a Christmas Miracle!
Hating on people sure is expensive
I’ve been looking to replace my car this year. The used cars I’m looking at (2-3 years old) are almost as expensive as the new cars. Maybe I will save $5000-7000 on it. So why buy a used car with dubious history?
I get that. My job is mostly writing Python scripts to keep an old Fortran based framework going, so I cringe when people get married into a language like this. I feel that all code should be adaptable and be able to absorb upgrades and changes. But I certainly understand. From my perspective if they were to rework my old Fortran code, it would take them at least a year or more to do it well. Most companies don’t want to spend that sort of effort.
Not sure why it is a big deal for most things. I was a 2.7 die hard and was forced to move to 3.x a few years ago. Had to rewrite a bunch of crap at first but once it was done it’s been a lot better than I thought it was going to be at first.
Maybe I’ll stop getting those “He Gets Us” ads if I cruise the atheist subreddits.
You would think. But folks in Alabama have been trying to get involved and half the party (the one recognized but the state) rejects them. Which is why Doug Jones and Chris England have been trying to get things working along party lines there. But the other faction ( a black church organization that has a death grip on the part) rejects any diversity and modernization.
Reply All did a set of podcasts about the mess a few years ago called “The Real Enemy”. I’d suggest that if you want to understand the history. It’s a few years old now, but not much has changed except one of the main folks died and the power transferred to her cronies.
You obviously don’t know how messed up the Alabama Democratic party is. They have essentially torn themselves into two factions and provide no support for most of the Democrats that run for office.
And yet, he was still elected.
Lately it is getting more like we are not just the consumers, we are the product. It is very uncomfortable.
I was actually told during a review that they couldn’t rank me higher because then they’d have to give me more money. My boss said I deserved it, but they didn’t have the money to give it to me.
I started looking for a new job that day.
This is the one that will be televised too. Probably is so long because of all the co-defendents
I hate to say it, but 90% of the articles on Gizmodo could be written by AI and we’d not know it.
Barrett is sure she is completely right about everything and doesn’t even entertain the possibility that she could have gotten anything wrong. She is arrogant and insufferable and can’t see how badly she is hurting others. Her sin is Pride, but she will likely never see that.
I used to hate cilantro because I thought it tasted soapy. Then my kid was telling me about this “gene” one day and I said that I must have it. Then I asked them what they thought cilantro tasted like, and they told me it was onion-y like chives.
We were at a restaurant at the time and I was eating something with cilantro which is why it came up. So I took a bite and tried to see if I could taste what they meant by onion-y. And damned if I couldn’t make out that chive sort of flavor.
Since then, I can’t taste the soapiness, it just tastes good.
So I doubt it is actually a gene of any sort if you can reprogram your brain like I did to get the taste.
Everyday. You can put the baking soda on dry or mix it into a paste. Make sure you massage it into your scalp (not too hard). Then you rinse that out and put on a rinse of vinegar water. I comb my hair out at this point and then rinse out the vinegar then apply a little vitamin E oil after I towel dry it.
I stopped using shampoo years ago because I’m allergic to a lot of the stuff that goes in them. I use baking soda and apple cider vinegar (you rinse in between so you don’t make a volcano). My hair has always been brittle and frizzy, but now the texture is really nice.
And for the record, no my hair doesn’t stink. You can use vitamin E oil after with essential oils if you really want your hair to smell pretty.
I wonder how many of that 64% will actually vote?
They haven’t taken their heads out of the sand for anything.
I might have gotten that if I had my glasses on.
