My weight loss started in a thread exactly like this. I read about someone using My Fitness Pal to track their food intake and consuming less than they were burning. I tried the same thing and within days I was losing weight and feeling better.
I lost 80 pounds over the following year, took up running using the Couch 2 5K program and have been maintaining that since 2018.
Finished my first triathlon last summer.
They’re intending for Magic to go the way of Lego. A bunch of different IPs in the mix and you’ll only engage with the sets you choose. If that’s only UW sets, they’re ok with that. For every one person that says they’re going to quit because of UB cards/sets, there’s likely 3-5 people that are picking up the game for the same reason.
The unfortunate side of this is that you don’t get left out of competitive Lego if you decide to not engage with a set.
It’s a business first, so someone has done the math to make sure that this kind of risk is worth it. Starting with Secret Lairs (Walking Dead) was a genius way to test the idea. Same goes for everything else they’ve done recently, new foil types, serialized cards, etc. They wouldn’t do that stuff if it didn’t make them money.
I’m not advocating in favor of this kind of behavior, but it’s the reality of how product development works. You ship, test, iterate and ship. As long as they project growth, even if it’s at the expense of their most enfranchised players, they’ll continue to do whatever is working. You just have to decide whether it’s an environment you want to participate in.
I’ve seen every episode of the office at least 4 times (and some much more) with the exceptions of Scott’s Tots. Watched it once and never went back. That one was too much.
I’m not doubting this is true given the source, but there are phone repair shops all over my town that repair cracked iPhone screens all the time. How do they make that business work if they have to register something like a screen replacement?
What if it works out? Then I’ll have a lot of work to do to keep it working. What if I’m not good enough to keep it working and I turn it into a failure?
I know it’s not free, but I think you can subscribe for a month for $4USD and that would give you 30 days. The raid will be over before the subscription ends.
It’s running until the 17th. They also put out a bunch of Hatterenes and other decent support pokemon for the raid. It seems you need at least 3 mews though. If you enter the raid with a Mew, it gets a crazy stat boost and you get some extra stuff when you beat it. The loot for beating it multiple times isn’t as good just FYI.
Even if you don’t do the Mewtwo raid, now is a good time to farm Blissey raid battles because they drop insane amounts of XP candy. A solid hour of farming them can net you hundreds of L candies pretty easily. I’ve been using Belly Drum/Drain Punch Iron Hands for that.
