It’s not an MLM or pyramid scheme; it is regular sales employment. You’re not getting other people to sell them for you nor are you encouraged to find others looking to join the sales team. It just sucks dick because the pay is shit (and they go through hoops to pay you less or nothing; which is where the scam part comes in), they treat you like shit, and you have to basically sell them door-to-door.

It’s stupid because the knives are great products; I still have my sample set because they actually rock. They just only sell them like Tupperware clubs and only market them via word of mouth. They’d be making bank if they just sold them to retailers instead of fucking with young people looking for their first job.

If you’re looking for a job, stay the fuck away from anything dealing with “CutCo” or “Vector Marketing.”

Edit: Its not really a pyramid scheme… They just do everything they can to weasel out of giving you your paycheck on payday and because it’s sales commission, I don’t think they have to follow minimum wage laws since you’re not paid hourly.

Unless they’ve seriously changed how it fundamentally works (this was when I was 18). They never encouraged or paid extra for getting others to sell for you, like a typical MLM thing.

I am playing the Steam version right now and I noticed that I have just 1 perpetually pissed off dwarf. Upon closer inspection, it’s a child. Who is a sadist, always pissed off and stays away from the other children to get drunk all the time all because when he was, like, 3 years old he was almost mauled to death by a giant squirrel.

I didn’t mean to imply it’s not also concerning tech. I think it would fit in both spheres. Just commenting on the whole “stop making trans people political” notion, like the issue isn’t and hasn’t been political the entire time.

They’re trying to make laws to hurt trans people, and it’s a hot issue among the populace… That is the very definition of political.

With how many call backs, jokes and references I’ve seen in the main plot: it doesn’t take itself too seriously. Half of the jokes have been directly related to the lack of dialogue options and having a silent protagonist.

I can get the sentiment about the combat being uninspired and a bit bland, and things being formulaic but… There is still something that draws me in. I really have no words for what it is, but somehow these games suck me in despite their problems and “boring” mechanics.

Speaking of the PC’s eyes… I’m kinda upset I couldn’t change my eye color at character creation. IDK if I missed it or it just wasn’t an option for my race (dragonborn). They look cool being flames, but they’re blue and I’d rather them be gold or green.

I don’t want to just fix it. I want to find the Eye of Vecna and use that.

I think it’s a travesty you can switch characters in dialogue but it doesn’t actually do anything except prevent you from selecting the dialogue options until you switch back. It’s extremely frustrating when the conversation was started by just walking into an area because sometimes it starts it with a character I wasn’t even controlling.

Is this the fight that happens in the Harper’s little camp? I first thought due to how many dudes it kept spawning every turn and how I couldn’t flee from it, I was supposed to lose, but no. Dying there just gives game over. 😬

I’ve been everywhere else, obtained every magical item (and only fed like 3 to Gale), and should have gotten as much XP as possible and this fight still seems impossible or that I was supposed to have a McMuffin to help win it that for whatever reason I don’t. Plus, I killed that winged dude in 2 hits right off the bat, but this just triggered him to knock out the woman and take off, which made me start to question how this game handled script triggers because it’s so jarring to complete one action, and then have a cutscene trigger showing something else happening.
