I had to get a new PC and it came with WIN 11 honestly it’s not any more terrible than any other version of Windows once I shut off all the obnoxious options that are defaulted on. But also I never would have bothered installing it if I hadn’t gotten an entirely new system.

I think more Pixel’s a true flagship product. Big Tech corps are always launching likely contenders, then they evaluate them over time and if the benefits don’t realize or they find a better product it gets discontinued.

But some products are proven. The only way Alphabet and Apple would discontinue their flagship phones is if there’s some kind of mass turn away from mobile phones. Same as how Alphabet is not going to exit the search engine field.

I will pirate it if it’s old (tv series from the 80’s, for example) or if I can’t get it legally. I live in a country that falls through distribution loopholes moderately often. It occurs to me that Kutcher and co might not have had access to the court proceedings, testimony, and evidence, but might have had a lot of access to Masterton’s side of the story.

It also occurs to me that being friends with people is complicated and that bad people emotionally loan shark a lot - maybe they felt obligated to send letters of support because they were being guilt tripped about all he’d done for them or because they think being a good friend is supporting no matter what (aka being an enabler).

You’re right, this kind of thing is nothing new. We’ve always been a society which will turn on a dime on anyone, no matter how good or poor the excuse, if given a good pretext to do so. It seems to be human nature.
