mastodon.social is defederated from most other instances from what i can tell mainly due to being too large, so i’d assume the same would apply here

wouldn’t discord communities be coming from irc?

apparently they didn’t actually remove the discriminator and instead just hid it whilst giving everyone #0

probably a terrible answer but on nixos i just add the packages to my config, which does technically apply because it’s also an immutable distro
