A small power, they said. $100 billion, you said.

Being able to manually adjust my focus on and interest in what I’m doing.
Rich dude in charge of government blames government’s poor service on striking workers, instead of on the conditions that caused workers to strike in the first place, and at the same time delivers his opinion in a way that shows how disconnected he is from the reality that workers struggle through.
I’m not sure exactly how it’s done (I’m guessing some sort of pressure or seal mechanism), but the pumps are also designed so that if the pump isn’t fit properly into the car’s gas tank, the catch will automatically drop and the fuel will stop streaming. So if you start to pull the handle out of the tank while it’s still pumping fuel, it’ll automatically turn off
Definitely a circlejerk outside of specific subs
Thank god you’re not an admin
If counting the money was a problem to overcome intended by OP, they would’ve mentioned it. For the sake of the post’s intent I think it’s safe to assume the money is in large bills, which can be counted very quickly by a machine. Add to that that I can just use an ATM at the front of my bank, and things are much more fast and automatic.
Once it’s in my account, it’s in my account and I can use it right away
Bring it to my bank, deposit, then purchase online.
Though I’d leave it in my index fund, on average they perform better than actively managed accounts
Lot of people seem to think that being marginalized automatically gives those groups empathy towards other marginalized groups. Reality is that humans are extremely good at compartmentalization, and religion in particular trains those groups to be absolutist in what the doctrine says. I think they’d be pretty shocked to hear about racism by PoC, transphobia and biphobia by gay people, etc.
Yea the main reason I hated it was because I had to fuckin dig through a thread if I wanted to find a serious comment about whatever was posted. It wasn’t so much that low effort puns and shit were common, it was that they drowned almost everything else out in a lot of subs. Like even /r/science was turning into a memefest at the end.
I guess we’ll see how things develope here
No the endlessly repetitive puns were bad. They weren’t the only things, but they were absolutely bad.
Another conservation I had recently said that lemmygrad is apparently run by communists and harbor tankies. If I had to venture a guess, whoever wrote what you saw doesn’t understand the difference between nazis and communists, and that’s where it’s coming from. Or maybe there’s also a nazi instance here somewhere, but as long as you’re not part of their instance or an instance that federated with them, you won’t see any of that shit
Honestly I’m surprised the SCOTUS ruled this way. With how clearly activist they’ve been for christian nationalist interests, I kinda expected them to just nuke anything that might hurt the GOP
They live in a bubble that’s been telling them since they were suckling their mom’s tits that the other people are the fascists, and stealing lives and freedoms in broad daylight (the opposite of reality). Add to that the heavy gun culture and nationalism, and you get a mob of people wanting to shoot the ‘other’. Last year a dude was asking Charlie Kirk in public when they should start killing liberals https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxNFXJmNhbA&t=15s
“a long time” probably means like a decade for this kind of stuff, so at least there’s that to look forward to
Library Genesis (www.libgen.is) is an extremely useful resource for textbooks. Not guaranteed that it’ll have what you’re looking for, and I don’t know much about it outside of the english language, but there’s a decent chance you’ll find what you need.
Nah “capitalist” in this sense just describes what economic policy the person supports. Same way socialists in the US don’t need to have an equal ownership in the means of production to be considered socialists.
