I mean, Telly is giving away TVs that have a camera and second screen to play ads. Sony might not think they could get away with it a decade ago, but consumers seem to slowly accept more bullshit over time so I could definitely see their calculus changing in the future.

Honestly I think it’s just a shit idea. Only way I could see it flying is if you heavily (or completely) subsidized the cost of the television. There’s already a company giving away free ad supported TVs.

Usually season 2. At that point the writing team has their footing but isn’t out of ideas and trying to drag it out. Most shows start going downhill in season 3/4.

I’ve been loving Tosh Show. His guests are way more interesting than listening to comedians talk to comedians all the time. Don’t have any kids, so I find the bedtime stories at the end hilarious as well.
I mean we see that with Sauron and Frodo in the films. It would appear that having the ring on your finger when severed does fuck all to help you out.

The writing feels so close to Shitty_Morph from Reddit I was prepping myself to hear about The Undertaker and Mankind about halfway through.
Not only would I be willing to give them a trophy, give them a fucking parade, shout-out at the next SOTU, let them sign the original constitution or some shit, whatever the fuck these mentally ill people need to stop destroying society.
Hell keep a leaderboard of who “produced” the most wealth and let them compete with each other. The winner every year gets their name carved in a new " Stanley Cup of Captalism" (the hockey one, not the crazy white lady one). All of that shit would be infinitely cheaper than having billionaires around.

I think the solution is for all the non assholes to work together to stamp out the assholes and remove them from having power. Incredibly difficult, but not impossible. It’s the same class war that’s been waged by the wealthy for decades. Theyve never stopped attacking, we just suck at working together and have allowed them to gain waaaay too much ground.
They’re always going to be on the bus, but we can at least push them to the back where they can’t fuck with where we want to go.

Ive got hundreds of these damn movies on my Plex server specifically because my wife LOVES this crap.
I’m convinced we have a Family-Guy-Manatee-Ball-Pit situation going on here. There’s less balls to choose from, but damn if I haven’t seen “save family business with a last minute impromptu charity event spurred on by the handsome dude from her past who posseses some talent” 100 fucking times.
They aren’t usually direct plot copies, they just have identical pieces that get moved around so they can factory farm these removed out.

Yeah it’s awful, I really hope they fail but I’m not entirely sure they will. Most people who sign up are probably pretty good advertising targets.
