I’m confused. Authy is just a 2FA client. There’s half a dozen in fdroid. I use FreeOTC myself. Are graphene users unable to use anything else?

MicroG installer revived combined with the LSposed signature spoofer module solves this problem, as long as you are willing to root with Magisk.
Since devices that came with Android 10, all devices are expected to adhere to a standard Android interface. The GSI stands for generic system image.
Given a particular Hardware platform and drivers any GSI should run on any matching Hardware.
I know that Andy Yan’s LineageOS GSI works on my sm-t510 (a64 variant) and from user testimonials, it also runs on the sm-x720 (arm variant, TAB S8).
I linked the forum section that contains the thread for his and many other GSIs.
I have the P6. It’s an all around good phone. Don’t forget to look at GSI ROMs. All recent devices handle those. I can and eventually will install LineageOS on my Galaxy Tab S8 and have it on my old Tab low end tablet.
Incidentally, microg is much better now than when he wrote that.
The automatic build server sometimes hangs, and it can be weeks before someone notices and kicks it. Builds, I think, are alphabetic based on device code name. I’ve gone for 2 months without a push on Taimen.
Rooting and using LSposed can make the process simpler. I use Andy yan’s GSI on my sm-t510.
If it is WebDAV, DAVx5 has a feature that makes those shares available as a local volume. An sFTP app can be used to xfer files.
TrueNAS probably has a service for synchronized folders like google drive. I don’t know how to access NFS or SMB transparently.
I don’t know how well it scales, but I find Metro to be rather good. Find it of f-droid. I like that it randomizes the playlist rather than gets the list of songs and applies randomization to the play order. It also shows lyrics at a touch, if they’re in the metadata, and apparently recognizes lyric synchronization if it is there.
Find someone in your community who has professional map tech skills. That person can get detailed map data from your municipality and upload it into openstreetmaps, and you will then have the best maps :) if you are so inclined, you can learn yourself from their site.
The reason you can’t find addresses is likely because the data is not added to the maps in your region. I have similar problems here, though my state got much detail from batch updates last year.
I found a resource that merges addresses into osmand maps monthly, for north america and beyond. Even better, it does so in a way that normal address layout for north Americans can be used when searching.
Here in north america, we search by typing “255 maple street, some town 01234”, while osmand expects something like " USA some town street 123".
You can download merged maps from opensupermaps.com, and find almost any address you seek, then you can navigate. Osmand is pretty good with directions, but sometimes messes up. Magic Earth is better at navigation, and has similar features to Waze. OSMAnd has much greater map detail, where people have uploaded it.
I can confirm the experiences of the OP. As for OSMAnd, see my response to the post, which i am writing next.
Lots of mentions of OpenBoard here. There is a fork that is under development now, and I am writing this with it now. It is not on F-Droid yet.
FlorisBoard and AnySoft are good, but each has enough annoyances that I come back to OpenBoard, which has its own annoyances, but for me are a bit less annoying.
Pixel Dungeon is a good option.
Nope, except if you root with magisk, there is a module that takes care of it for you, complete with spoofing.
Look for a GSI ROM. They generally work on any device that came out with Android 10 or newer.
In my case, someone did the work of overcoming Knox with their own ROM, etc. Right now my galaxy tab 2019 has LineageOS 20 and a microg setup through magisk. It supplies the spoof fix systemlessly. You might be able to use the same ROM, which is a GSI by Andy Yan.
Remember that to stay in business, they must sell something. Since they are selling something designed to last a very long time, they need to expand their customers and sell other products, or both.
Some consumers want to get new product regularly. There is reason to stop them. As long as they continue to make their products to last, the rest of us get what we want, and the company is more profitable, sounds like a win-win.
This appears to be an effort to convince people to try their products - good for them! My answer to your last question is yes. Capitalism is not bad - amoral or unregulated capitalism is bad.
I’m somewhat amused that they’re hyping the color options in a breathless excited way as if it was a great new feature that changed the world.
All I can say is that it is kinda cathartic that someone other than me is experiencing this nightmare.
Also, this pages where it is impossible to select any text at all.
Well, if I’m on my laptop, I just use the browser. It’s much easier, and they don’t sqawk at me because it is “rooted” - even though it has always been rooted.
That only blocks for the browser. What about your apps? I never see add banners or popups in apps as i use adaway. Further, I can customize with well maintained blocklists that include other categories like malware and harvesting sites.
