The battery life of the phone, the potential longevity and repairability of the phone could be amazing. The last two are why they don’t mabe them so much, and there’s no demand when there’s no product to meet that demand.
Me? I want a phone that floats, out of the box. Bonus points if it can survive a fall into a barge wing-tank, including hitting the ladder on its way down, but really, taking my phone off the boat is a habbit I never got into.
Let’s hope you’re right.
It does seem like some out-of-left-field weaksauce to me, but the absurdity is part of the populist newspeak playbook that has been disturbingly successful over the last decade or so.
… are you somehow under the impression that I need to be convinced?
Narrative-wise, they become no longer Palastenians, but Saudis who are disobeying their King/Prince. It does NOT change anything for the better.
Yes, and that’s why those in power are using this moment to try to sell us on this story, and it’s chances of success.
A few websites I’ve found claim it is trending in India, so let’s hope so? Nadira seems to be common and popular enough already.

SHUT UP! Why couldn’t you let him have that little bit of naivette?
Seriously though, its a damn fine idea, if only the US and the DNC weren’t totally bat-shit on this front. Why does a little thing like reality have to be so un-cooperative?
Trump isn’t in jail due to his sabotaging the judicial aparatus while in office and the clear threat his voters demonstrate. They have shown themselves to be a credible threat to democracy. I was very wrong, while you and apparently nine others misread my comment
Seriously, do you expect me to lay Trump’s on-going freedom, and the January 6th bullshit, at Biden’s feet? Biden isn’t even running now.
I voted for Howie Hawkins last time, certain in the knowlege that Biden would win, Trump would go to jail, and we could hold Biden’s feet to the fire.
January 6th, and all the related bullshit that’s followed, showed me that I had made a huge mistake and just got lucky when it comes to the MAGA-crowd’s coup competence. I will not make that mistake again, not in this election anyways.
“Abandon Harris” is a shit campaign name. Self-aware guilt, right in the name.
Pretty sure no one here was worried about what was or wasn’t possible, just the method that was used in this specific instance.
Could do only-odd numbers if you wanted to be squirrely about it, but I think most people would get more inquisitive upon never seeing a zero.
That’s how I read it, yeah.
Sounds like DOS doesn’t keep time in increments any smaller than 2-second intervals. Double your 0-to-29 value whenever asked to provide time with seconds. Done.
Note: this is off the top of my head, with no in-depth knowlege of actual DOS time-keeping beyond that provided in the OP. I’m interested to see how many versions DOS went through with this time-keeping method, and what value any of this provides beyond querying the system’s Real Time Clock.
Also phone number and address, none of which is being exposed like so, save name and maybe birthdate.
… and if so, a key/password is not legally protected. Have Lexmark’s bullshit to thank for that precedent.
Even back when I was in the laptop-repair game, this is the kinda stuff people would expect me to know about their stuff that I hated. I saw too many features come and go over the years to keep track of even half of it on behalf of others.
Depends on the iGPU, but this being a damn near brand-new laptop, I’m sure you’re right.
… or forced to take-on un-related work and afraid of discouraging newbies.
