I only recognized this as Might & magic because I’ve watched too many Sseth videos.
I agree with others, man. What’s the age difference? Because I understand someone being too young (I’m 28 and I’m not sure I could date someone under 24 for example). Just very curious! You never know
Tbh, me and at least 2 other people I know bounced off it hard, even after giving it multiple chances in 10+ hours of playing. Some people just aren’t jelling with it even with playtime.
No sir, you are not alone. The horrendously weak opening combined with bullet sponge gunplay, so many loading screens, a horrendous UI, boring worlds with little to nothing to do on them…I managed to make myself play for 12 hours before I gave up for good. It simply didn’t catch me at all, despite multiple attempts. Maybe in 2 years with mods, but for now it’s just time to move on for me.
Bethesda: feedback accepted. Base carry weight is now 50 to be more realistic.
It’s true, some of them ARE empty by design…but the problem is, a world with life on it in Starfield is barely more interesting than the barren rock. It is still almost ALL randomly generated, there just happens to be more wildlife to scan while you run across the boring landscape, and maybe an animal will try to kill you.
Oh, and the pointless radiant quest you get will be from a solar farm on the nice planet, instead of a mining platform on the barren one. There is very little difference.

I think you have your games backwards lol. 99% of checks in BG3 have no interesting failure states. They almost all lead to combat or less content overall. Whereas disco Elysium actually has tons checks that are enjoyable or interesting to fail.
I think, even if you deeply love that specific jank, this game is only an 8/10 currently. As more people get farther in the game, they realize that what was amazing at first kind of falls apart in the later acts, with a truly atrocious ending and tons of cut content. Maybe with definitive edition it will hit a 9/10 but the increasing illusion of choice as the game wears kind of prevents it from being a 10/10. Still a great game but it definitely suffers and is a shell of what it could have been late game.
I still think DOS2 is one of the best games I have ever played, and I played it on release when 80% of the 4th act just broke for me. It gives a ton of freedom, interestingly written characters, and once you get the hang of the combat system it’s easy to dominate even with weird builds.
I understand why people aren’t it’s biggest fans, but giving this one a chance is worth it. Overall, I would say BG3 (played a ton in early access) might be the more accessible game. It’s less weird, more cinematic etc. Though, I would expect it to be exceedingly buggy on release so keep that in mind.
First game is still good. 2 is mostly an upgrade (a bit more RPG-y, with more varied maps and content). Both give a similar experience though, I would say.
I’ve played 40 hours or so of 2, and have beaten what I understand as a majority of content. It does kinda run like shit on many PCs. I can run many modern games on at least high/medium 60FPS usually on my older PC, but this one is low/medium and I’m lucky if I get 30 FPS in intense combat situations.
Remnant 1 may be a good call while they polish up and fix performance/gameplay issues with 2.

I do miss traditional dungeons, but as a person who likes playing a ton of different games and genres, I think TOTK (far more than BOTW) really does some incredible things with it’s systems and really invites true creativity. I think, overall, that outshines the very enjoyable, but linear approach of the older games.
I would love a next gen, classically dungeon based Zelda game too, but I think that if one of the older Zelda games came out today (skyward sword, ocarina, wind waker, etc) it simply wouldn’t have the universally fun pull of BOTW or TOTK.
They have big issues, yeah. But they are doing more to advance gaming as a whole by a huge amount and I can’t help but appreciate them.
It’s my favorite game ever made. The writing is beyond good, and it actually has some fantastic messages while also addressing the political realities of life.
No other game has affected how I think and act more than disco Elysium.

Agreed. Last time I got the Boar’s Head chipotle Gouda, I ate the entire block in a single sitting with no crackers or anything. It was ridiculous.

Respect for WOTR, its still one of the most replayable CRPGs ever. So many cool choices to make!
Agreed. Still waiting on a Black and White 2 spiritual sucessor, that game is still unmatched in its weird little genre. It definitely scratches a unique itch.
