I tried mint and had some issues with nvidia drivers, which seemed out of the ordinary since other people were fine with it. I tried PopOS next and it was fine (Bottles had some issues but games through Steam or Heroic worked out of the box basically).
Oh you have an issue on Linux? Just try a different distro
(this one hurts more because it technically usually works)
They are still being vague about the monetization (it does seem like it will have MTX) and I’m am completely certain that designing it with co-op in mind is going to ruin the singleplayer vibe and progression. Hopefully I’m proven wrong though
If its by the developer of NPxSB why not just update that one, or am I misunderstanding something in the title?
I mostly follow devs/games that write insightful updates or interesting news so it’s a pretty good source of info for me, but yeah occasionally there’s stuff id like to easily skip or ignore without having to scroll for days.
Agreed on both points - I am skeptical they are such “amateurs”, and it also doesn’t necessarily seem like a cash grab considering how Craftopia is faring. It does seem like there’s way too much buzz currently going on however, it’s hard to say what is true or what is just an outright lie… hoping to learn more and see how this progresses in a few months. Also hoping they stay dedicated to improving palworld more than the valheim devs did (meaning barely anything, thank god for the modding community there doing what little they can to keep the game alive).
Valve’s Proton is open source but is it also free to use and distribute in commercial software? Cuz if so, there’d be nothing stopping GOG or Epic from implementing it already, they don’t need this project at all
Sounds like this would be easier to setup and use than Lutris though - dunno about everyone else but I’m always so very confused trying to get non-steam games running on linux, with all the custom paths, simulated folder structures and prefixes while steam apparently does it on its own out of the box.
Generally speaking I care little about the theme and more about the execution of a game. I’m gonna play a paperclip incremental game if it’s done well. Meanwhile you could make a fantasy warframe clone, call it wayfinders, and I might not be interested in it.
It’s all in the delivery, ideas are cheap.
We need a proper wizard/sorceress frame next, I want a pointy hat and big spells to cast
These bridges are usually self-hosted so I’m assuming this is not due to infrastructure costs but rather the bridge code maintenance issues? Do they require so much work to stay functional, are other bridges at risk of abandonment too?
Maybe its too soon to celebrate since the update isn’t out yet but they seem to plan and follow the release schedule really well nowadays! It’s nice to have a more steady stream of updates, war within and duviri must have been very messy.
Is it equal to a regular android? Will the usual banking apps work on it, for example?
I can still see the value in owning it in this shitty climate however - maybe I want to keep the patent just so I can distribute it freely instead of someone else staking their claim on it and then charging people for the same thing?
Am I understanding correctly and this is truly FOSS and fully offline, there’s no remote server or model we have to connect to? What was the model trained on? I’m really curious but I also don’t want to support proprietary unethical data sourcing.
And that Kira hut episode
Hope you have more luck, Viber is extremely annoying with their notifications and ads and almost everyone here still uses it. Can’t get away from it but at least it’s not whatsapp I guess…
I am not that desperate to get it working there, it was just an example, but still good to know thanks! Hopefully they add proper psaswordless support eventually.
Lorca got me through discovery for a season or two and then he was gone, I don’t think I watched anything beyond it. I hear it’s only gotten worse, somehow
