I’ve seen some polls suggesting it is pretty unpopular. Lots of blue seats were won againdt major transphobes these last two years in some surprising places. I also think anecdotally having to hear anyone irl harp on about trans hate or LGBT hate is extremely off-putting for everyone. Most of my family is right wing and there is only 1 person in my whole extended family that will randomly bring up trans issues and everyone tells them to shut up lol. It’s just not a real concern for a lot of people.

The thing is too is this type of hate is way more prevalent online, we’ve been bombarded with it. But when the right has actual sieg heiling nazis showing up to rallies/protests against drag its an extremely bad look for even the less moderate right wingers.

I think it depends too on where you live. Some places are definitely just always going to hafe anyone not cis

I feel what you mean by internalized work ethic and defrauding someone however the alternative here is busting your ass so the company can see 0.1% growth or whatever meaningless number. I drove for a few of them for awhile and they’re so sleazy in so many ways. Like they partnered with both car and rental companies and try to get so many people further indebted by enticing them with terrible offers for leasing cars or renting them. They also are opening up their own line of credit cards and shit now. They want their hands into every aspect of the drivers lives to pidgin hole them into being extremely dependent on them for something that is marketed as “independent contractor” and “be your own boss” garbage

I had an '84 Toyota sr5 as my first car and it fuckin ruled. I only got rid of it cause I needed better gas mileage but I gave it to a family member who still uses it today as a ranch truck-- so it gets used hard. Still going strong at over 280k miles. It’s a beast and was so easy to work on, extremely easy even for inexperienced person who is willing to watch some youtube videos
