FIA STEWARDS: 5 SECOND TIME PENALTY FOR CAR 780 (THA) - TRACK LIMITS
I know. And we have this for 9 more years. Yay.
Poor Sargeant. He gets a lot of shit, but that’s gotta suck being sick out there, as hot and humid as it is. Yeah, nothing wrong with retiring if he really can’t handle it anymore.
If this leads to an exciting, chaotic race, watch the FIA implement pre-degraded tires and lap limits starting in 2026.
So with 6 GPs to go (including tomorrow), is the earliest someone has won a WDC?
I guess it’s hard to compare to past seasons since there are more races and sprint races that give more points now. Still though; Impressive.
Def looks more like Ocon to blame to me. Checo kinda happened to be collateral damage. Damn.
I actually like Perez. I like Danny too, but I don’t have that much confidence in his skills. I only started watching F1 in 2021 so I’ve only seen him with his struggles at McLaren.
But since seeing Lawson in that AT, my stock in Perez has dropped. Because I could see one of the AT drivers moving up to RB, and then Lawson moving into a permanent AT seat.
That only all happens if an RB seat opens up, obviously. And Max certainly ain’t going anywhere. Perez should absolutely finish this season, since he’s 2nd in the WDC (assuming he maintains that). But beyond this season…well maybe he’s amenable to a buy out?
I’m gonna start some drama.
Did you see how RB just basically teabagged Perez with that dry ice bag?! Such disrespect. He’s getting the boot.
Still doesn’t beat Bottas’ “pit stop” in 2021. Took like 5 days for them to get the wheel off. Had to bring the car back to the factory to take off the wheel nut!
Yeah, he’s like a Mazepin or Mick level of driver. And I had no idea Mick was their reserve! I assume he’s shared with Mercedes, kinda like how DeVries was last year.
Like I get he’s a rookie. Rookies make mistakes and should be allowed to. But this is too much.
I wonder who could get that seat. The Williams Drivers Academy is pretty thin. Mostly F3 drivers, none in F2. Their most experienced Academy driver seems to be their F1 development driver, Jamie Chadwick. She won W Series twice and now is in Indy NXT. (part of IndyCar’s ladder). If not her, they’d have to look outside their organization. Would Mick really make a come back? Seems less than ideal.
Stewards eating good tonight.
