I just wish people had long enough memories to see the cycle for terms like these. Some new word catches vogue, companies fall over themselves trying to find ways to implement them for shareholders and consumers who have no idea what they actually represent. As that fades, a new term arises… it’s sad.

It never ceases to amaze me how far idiots will go to avoid learning the most simple things. SQL isn’t hard, people’s difficulty with it says a lot more about them than it does SQL.

We had the same problem when computers were first made available. So many problems, constant errors, data loss. It is why society discarded that concept entirely and never went away from pencil and paper. Who wants the hassle? Plus, computers are so expensive. Pens and pencils are everywhere!
With the right deal a Snowcaster can go sub-100 dollars and is a life changer for sure. Granted, you need snow and only a certain amount - but when that happens this guy is fucking amazing.
It’s also wrong a lot. Hence the requirement for understanding. It can be helpful to get through a stretch but it will fuck up before too long and relying on it entirely is a bad idea.
