  • Hah what a crock of biased shit take one look at this photo and tell me it’s for safety and not so this strip mall can look slightly less shitty

    This photo doesn’t even really stress how bad it gets right now in the spring because anywhere with sand/rocks will be a thick bush. Even in the photo the gray car in the middle is cutting into both lanes so a guy making a right has a bush and that to look forward to. If you decide to go north and take a left to get out then you’ve gotta dodge oncoming traffic and pedestrians leaving a busy store.

    You should always take it slow and crawl out of a blind corner but obstacles make it harder for no reason. In this lot if you crawl out enough to see left and right half of your car is already in the oncoming lane and you’ve crashed.

    Porsche etc drivers are the ones specifically where that is often a necessity due to how difficult theircars can be to spot.

    Lmao so let’s throw bushes everywhere so people and cars can’t see, gotcha. Jfc people






  • For mod specific tips I’d say the hygiene mod sounds silly but adds a lot of QOL like simple heating. If you’ve ever tried to balance the stupid space heaters you’ll know what I mean.

    Here’s the google spreadsheet with all multiplayer mod compatibility ratings. A green/4 is great no issues but 3S aren’t bad.

    My friend and I basically played it as two different colonies on the same map. We’d just cut the spawning area in half and make our own base on each side. Helping each other out in big raids and going out on trips together.

    For rimworld tips I don’t want to info overload you or spoil things you’d naturally come across so here’s some things I think might help with that early game info overload.

    Lots of things in the farming menu but you can just grow rice and ignore the rest. Healroot for meds ofc tho

    If you get into nutrient paste you don’t need a dude who can cook (which is basically a full time job). There’s even a bigger nutrient paste network in one of the mods (I think one of the vanilla expanded ones).

    Struggling with keeping an area too cold or hot? Double wall that area

    No pyromaniac colonist

    It doesn’t matter too much what stats you start your colonist with but try for like no negatives and not too old. You definitely do want one or two medics at the start of the game tho.

    Colonist happiness is what you’ll probably find the most annoying as a new player. Just hover over them to see what’s bothering them and fix it. Drug policy sounds intimidating but it’s really easy and I just reuse the same bs policy I found someone using online. So you might have to grow a few plants for beer and weed.

  • One of the most entertaining games I’ve played in a long while. I got home from work and was tired but I tried it out anyways. Next thing I know it was like 4AM and I still didn’t want to put it down.

    Only issues I have is that I wish some games were longer. While I say that, I sometimes find myself too lazy to rearrange items because it’d require me to basically unequipt everything for a small increase.
