I work outside doing physical labor, I maintain a giant jar of pickles at work and home. There is no better relief when I am feeling crampy after a hot hot day than a giant swig from the pickle jar.

Ages ago bud light was doing rock paper scissors tournaments for promotions one summer. I was at a bar one night and won. Went to regionals, and in the semi-final I was up against a guy that only threw rock. Each round leading up, every single throw was rock.

I lost to him.

I listen to the off menu podcast, and so many guests say they don’t drink water or hate it. My opinion of so many celebrities has fallen drastically.

It’s funny. I’m on vacation in a primarily summer destination, and my wife and I checked out some lake properties in zillow. She thought I was nuts when I said a house we saw was probably a cool mill. Found properties listed for up to $4m. Property values are bonkers.

Definitely not even going to attempt to watch this live, and I’m just a time zone earlier. Ridiculous of them to have a race so late. People were complaining about the heat affecting drivers in Qatar, just straight up being tired is gonna have an effect here.

I went to Walgreens for my first and second round of covid vaccines. Each visit was an absolute shit show. First shot I had to wait a half hour for someone to give it to me. The line of customers in store and at the drive thru was constant, and there were only two people working. Second shot, same situation, and I waited an hour and a half. When the pharmacist finally called me in and saw what time my appointment was for, she said “well I wouldn’t have waited.” Motherfuck, you think I’m trying to die of covid?

Since then I’ve gotten my boosters at CVS. It’s directly across the street and it’s where I have all my prescriptions. The least amount of people I’ve seen working in the pharmacy is four. Usually it’s six. There may be a car or two ahead if I try to use the drive thru, if so, I’ll just walk in because there is almost never a line inside.

I 100% support these workers walking out. Fuck Walgreens. That place has always been nasty and run down, even the new ones.

So what should they have done? Call the race when Logan came in? Install air conditioning? Red flag the race for a mandatory 20 minute cool down/rehydration?

They are all full grown adults and they should know their limits. Their engineers and principles know they’d rather them park a fully functional car than pass out, wreck it, and die. Logan did it, and you better believe that every person on Williams is thankful he did than the former, and he has the most at stake.

Every single driver mad their choices to stay in that race or retire.
