  • Facebook is a dinosaur. They’ve enabled monetization now and there’s tons of pages automatically posting AI Content (with AI descriptions) hour after hour, with bot replies too. It’s so bad. Definitely not the place to just talk to your IRL friends like it used to be. I also have to run ads for my job and TikTok has the best ROI, while Facebook charged me like 1$ per click lol, there’s no way anybody is paying that much for a click. TikTok’s was like 15 cents.

If you’ve seen the AI Jesus with cabin crew photos they’re from facebook. I’m starting to think some AI (chatGPT) told someone that this was a winning combination to post on Facebook and that’s why they started making those pictures specifically. Cause I don’t know what Jesus has to do with flight attendants lol.

  • Hey, designer here (at least that’s what I say at family functions). I’ll need to look at it properly on a computer but I can see two things.

    1. The kerning with the A is a bit wider than on other letters, either the A letter needs to be brought closer to the rest of the word, or it needs to be a little more top heavy.

    2. Same alignment argument with the whole logo, the word Cry feels a bit too aligned to the right. I would bring it a little bit more to the left.

I assume you mathematically aligned the letters and so on paper they are all centred properly and stuff, but you need to do it optically for human eyes. Because the C is rounded, it looks further left than it actually is, you need to offset it to the left a little bit as the left edge of the C is very thin (if you looked at in 1D, imagine it’s just a line).

I can provide a more visual example later but this is what jumps out at me.

The gem also clashes with the typeface as you don’t really find that shape in the font (lozenge). You have straight lines for the most part with thin, needley ends (the serif) and a very rounded, almost circle C. Is it possible to try other shapes inside the C?

  • Gaza is not only dense but well-defended. They have networks of tunnels dug under the city and extending out of Gaza. Fighters can disappear an IOF soldier in 10 seconds in their tunnels and you’ll never see him again. The last time they tried to enter, in 2014, one IOF soldier came out of it describing the experience like so: It was hell. Everything you touched could explode against you. Everyone you see could pull a weapon and shoot you as soon as you turn your head. And there’s lots of people. You move step by step, as if in the dark, and just hope you make it out alive.

Honestly a land invasion of Gaza might be their nail in the coffin. This is where they do not have superiority. They can bomb Gaza all they want, but they can’t invade it and succeed. Both times they’ve tried it was a colossal defeat for them.

Compound that with the fact that the IOF is a serious paper tiger. They can claim they’re the most disciplined army in the Middle East or whatever as much as they want, but video footage shows an army in disarray, shooting at their own, not practising the most basic amount of safety. Remember the video from a few years ago of an IOF soldier picking up a flag someone planted on the Gaza border fence and just casually bringing it up to his mates before it exploded in his hands? All they know is to terrorize civilians, once the civilians start shooting back they don’t know what to do.
