  • Yes, because referring to a child by the name and pronouns they have requested will irreparably damage them. /s

It has been proven time and again, study after study, that acceptance and support for trans people of all ages improves their quality of life. In this case simply using the requested pronouns and name can have only positive effects on the child’s life. Further gender affirming care has also been proven safe and effective. Hormones are generally not prescribed until after 16, and until then puberty blockers are proven to be both effective and completely reversible and 100% safe. They have been regularly prescribed to cis-children to manage conditions such as precocious puberty for decades. Their application to treat gender dysphoria is no different.

There is no good reason to withhold gender affirming care from a child that is showing signs of dysphoria. Witholding treatment only leads to greater risks of selfharm or suicide.

  • NASAs budget in 2021 was $25b, but their economic output was $71.2b. NASA actually puts more into the economy than it takes to run. Between providing nearly 340,000 jobs and leasing patents on materials and technology developed in house, NASA more than pays their own way. Not to mention all the advancements in material science, medical technology, and engineering that they provide. NASA is well worth the investment we put into it, and IMO deserves much more.

  • It would allow engineers to create glass panes for windows that not just darken on demand, but selectively filter certain wave lengths of light. The windows could filter out infrared light while allowing visible light through, which would keep buildings cooler without eliminating natural light. The compound, tungsten oxide hydrate, can can selectively absorb different wave lengths of light depending on the current and amount of lithium ions applied to the material.

  • Sub 10 micron. Jfc, this idiot doesn’t have a clue about auto manufacturing. Even the most precise parts of auto manufacture don’t require “sub 10 micron” tolerances. Engine bearing journals are about the most crucial fit in a car and they are generally on the order of 50 microns. Electric cars can use even wider margins because they mostly use ball and roller bearings instead of babbit bearings.

But… Since were talking about the body panels on the worlds dumbest truck the point is even more moot. John Delorian was stamping out stainless panels in the 80s on a shoe string budget,
but the worlds richest dipshit wants to make it out to be the automotive equivilant to brain surgery.
