So you just reviewed your own list by writing “Undeniably true” under nearly every bullet point? xD For some reason I find that very funny.
I embrace all the choices in the Linux world. I reject headlines like this. A decades old project like Debian is certainly already „made as it should be“, thank you very much. The „finally“ triggers me hard as well.
A bad take if I’ve ever seen one.
I think that Memmy has the right priorities and a strong lead in regards to what’s important right now. When I read the changelog it feels like this project is on a really solid foundation.
I also like that’s it’s tuned very much for efficiency. No unnecessary glitter and stuff.
I’d say that Italy is still an outlier and for example in Germany we’re still far far away from a situation like that. There are some early warning signs though and we better collectively get all our shit together.

Thanks for your work!
Alright then, have a nice day!
I was just thinking about that as well. That would be a nice feature to have!
And how does this negate my initial point that you shouldn’t trust in the security of something just because it is open source? I think you misunderstood what I was saying.
Dont understand what that has to do with the discussion so far. How is this relevant here?
Ext4 (for my laptop and stuff) and ZFS (as mirrors or raidz2 for my proxmox host and data).
Regarding point 2. I get what you’re saying but I instantly thought of Heartbleed. Arguably one of the most used examples of open source in the world, but primarily maintained by one single guy and it took 2 years for someone to notice the flaw.
Memmy is great! Been using it since about 2 weeks now. Really feel at home.
I agree. StarTrek was always woke in the truest sense of the word. In my opinion the new shows are just not good - Neither as StarTrek nor as general entertainment. Except for maybe Strange New Worlds which certainly has shown some potential.
