Yeah I use voyager on mobile and these two features are things that I really miss on desktop.
Voyager really needs an emoji picker / auto complete, and display name support. So this puts me closer to not needing voyager if they’re ported in.
i only recently learned there IS an emoji picker on hexbear… like 2 weeks ago. I thought everyone just had the tags memorized.
I’d say try to get these upstream instead. If you still want to just send to hexbear, then wait till at least lemmy 1.0 and we rebase on top. Maintaining custom changes is always a pain in the ass
Yeah I didn’t see the sprout icon was already upstream, it was implemented previously and figured I’d try and reimplement it.

Good catch on the branch issue, and also good to know that this is being added upstream. I was probably going to submit it, but now I don’t need to.
