The chair for this is a Republican so I doubt anything will happen. This is probably their way of trying to get everyone to stop claiming that Matt is a child molester.

That’s the best part. This is political entirely within the party and punitive in nature. Gaetz has been loudly criticizing the GOP leadership and this is intended to get him to tone it down. The fun part will be if it’s allowed to find fruit. If they want him gone, this is the best way because he’s an incumbent in a heavily red district.
