I am still learning the hobby, but recently I found a keyboard I really like, however it has bluetooth (yikes). I’m not a fan of Bluetooth for keyboards that I will 100% use wired, and it doesn’t seem there is a way to disable the Bluetooth via Firmware or Hardware switch.

The board is a Zoom TKL. Is it possible to swap the PCB with another PCB that does not have Bluetooth included? I’m guessing TKL is a pretty standard format? If so, would anyone mind pointing me in the right direction?

You would need a pcb with matching mounting style, and with a jst connector for the daughter board - will be tough. That said, you should be able to use the board without the BT, just don’t install a battery and use 100% wired as you want.

Thank you for the reply. I thought about that, but I think the BT is on the main PCB, so as long as it has power, the BT will be on (wired or wireless). At least as I understand it.

For the Zoom TKL I know it isn’t compatible with standard h87 pcbs as the USB port is in the center of the board. The h87nu might work but I’m not sure if it would physically conform to the case dimensions. Plus you would need the daughter-board for the 87nu which also might not have a spot in the case. Best case would be to ask in their discord and see if someone knows or can do a test fit.

Or just wait for round 2 of the Zoom TKL, Wuque usually comes out with more PCBs on product updates like with the ikki68.
