It’s frustrating because Tron is a massive guilty pleasure series for me and I’ve waited 15 years for a follow up to Legacy, but the latest film basically being a pet project for Leto (he financed much of it) and plastering his face all over the marketing is going to turn away a lot of people from seeing Ares, which may bury this IP for good.
Also doesn’t help that fucking Elon Musk used the world premiere to promote his snake oil brands, because the guy can’t help stuffing his face in every popular IP and ruining it for everyone.
We’re also not comfortable seeing him on screen either.

I was sort of excited for a new, big sci fi movie even if it was going to be mid, but once I saw him, I lost interest.
