We’re hesitant to promote lemmy.ml given our poor experience with their admins and their odd behavior regarding /c/unixporn, so we figured moderating a different instance would be a good compromise given how federation works. And while you are correct that our specific set of mods aren’t necessary for the community to flourish, we are concerned about unixporn being hurt due to many communities being made and remaining completely unmoderated. We’re also looking into finding a different mod team for lemmy. Hope this helps!
Hi, I love the fact that r/unixporn is joining Lemmy! :D But I am still puzzled about why not join the already existing community, why start from scratch again when there is already a foundation to build on top of? Maybe I am missing something important, please educate me :)
