It’s just Abby after playing in the fireplace. 😑

Hosting things on instances is fucking expensive. You want to keep getting things for free?

Unless you want to have to start paying subscriptions for everything you’re going to have to tolerate ads or someone wanting your data. This is as good as it’s gonna get, or we won’t have it long.

Imgur isn’t just for reddit. It started out that way, but it’s been its own thing for ages.

I can’t speak for OP, but I have tons of pics there, and it just makes sense to me to keep using it until imgur gives me a reason to stop (like reddit did). Especially if my goal for a photo is more than a single kbin post.

Well, I’m not so pompous as to think anything I’m posting is doing anyone a favor, so that’s not exactly news to me. The VPN folk will live full lives without my asinine cat pics and game RNG memories.

The instance admin on kbin is financing this out of his own pocket and, recently, off a handful of donations.

Let’s give him a break and tolerate him offloading some of that bandwidth onto imgur.

While I realize those pings are being automatically added by settings that you turned on for some reason, it’s long been proper tagging etiquette to untag people from replies so as not to clog others’ notifications with extra pings. I didn’t bring up this point, so it’s not that relevant to make sure I know how you responded to it.

Saying this in the spirit of making you aware in case you aren’t, so everyone has happier interactions in the future!
