Maybe I don’t understand it as well as I thought, but other apps allow me to have 2FA and stay signed in without having to use a code constantly.

Currently, the Memmy app is forcing me to re enter a code every time I come back to the app after a little time of not using it (e.g., turn off my phone screen for 5 minutes).

Is this a bug?

I ran into the same issue and ended up disabling it for now. I know it’s not as secure, but sheesh.

Same here. I’ve noticed that even after doing that, I need to sign back in every time I reopen the app. I’m guessing it’s something to do with the hotfix my insurance pushed out last night due to all the xss attacks, but don’t know for sure.

Yeah, I actually just started running into that too. Just randomly logged out. I sent a bug report to the dev.

Lemmy 2fa seems kind of buggy in general. I’m waiting a bit to use it.

(Of course huge random passwords anyway)
