1. Use distributed, federated services like Lemmy, mastodon etc.
  2. Support the hosts with our own funds.
  3. Moderate our own communities.

The second point is the most important. Reddit happened because they are a corporate entity seeking profit. Let’s own our social media platforms by actively contributing funds to them.

      Reddit moderators are upset and downvoting my comments because they are powerless. Did you know that your downvotes don’t really matter? This website is buggy as shit and you can still see my reply to you on the front page and search for it on lemmy, because you were dumb enough to not check your preferences. Duh! Some Reddit moderators. Can’t even use the internet the right way.
