Do animals get grumpy when they dont sleep?

My cat keeps waking me up. Causing me to have a grumpy day. If my cat or any animal was prevented normal sleep would they get grumpy/agitated like humans?

Ive definetly gotten side eye from cats and dogs that ive woken up mid nap. Normally they get over it pretty quick though, especially if im giving them treats or pets lol

If you post a serious question on friday and are looking only for legitimate answers, then please include the [Serious] tag on your post. Irrelevant replies will then be removed by moderators.
