Hello to all! Given how unintuitive the search function in Lemmy can be, I wanted to let everyone in the !cfb@lemmy.world community know about another instance that was created to focus solely on sports. This instance was initially created to discuss baseball but I have added a community for every FBS CFB team as well just to try and get some more participation. I have also added communities for NFL teams.
Please feel free to crosspost any CFB news onto the !cfb@fanaticus.social community and I will keep crossposting over here as well. Hopefully both of our communities can continue to grow CFB discussion and bring more Reddit refugees to Lemmy.

Fanaticus admin here. I’ve been investigating reported issues where users on other instances aren’t able to find our communities. I’ve taken a number of steps already such as increasing our server resources (4x!) and federation workers (10x!).
I’m looking for some users on other instances to help me test out the federation issues. Please reach out to me if you’d like to help. Thanks!

Hey listen, I almost didn’t even make the community. It really was the last one I did and I definitely thought about using a worse logo or setting up the name as “uofscshamecocks” or something.
But I just used official UofSC branding provided by the school, so really no one can get mad at that, right?
