      I think another thing was the pedantry. you’d say something, and one tiny detail would be not 100% accurate, and sure as shit, someone would jump all over you, and try and discredit the entirety of what you just wrote.

      When the Ukraine war first broke out, I asked about a kind gesture I could do for my senior Ukranian neighbour. While most comments had positive suggestions, there were a few that said “can’t believe people buy this karma farming shit” … Like, is having a good relationship with your neighbour who happens to be Ukranian that much of an outlandish scenario!? No wonder they’re miserable.

        I’m sure your neighbor was grateful for whatever you decided to do for them. It’s kinda sad that social media is so full of garbage that people assume a post like yours is fake.

        Unrelated to the original post, but my grandpa had new Ukranian neighbors when the war first broke out and they had a newborn baby and no furniture. He gave them his favorite rocking chair so they could rock their baby. It was the nicest thing he’d ever done lol.
