I’m gonna miss /r/stupidpol, mainly because I could never find people I agreed with politically until I found them. I really started to dislike how set in stone the reddit ideology had become. If you differed from the hivemind even a bit you were labelled as “one of them”. Like doesn’t anyone appreciate the ability to not be told how to feel all the time?
Just seeing this. I’ve gone back and forth with SP. It occasionally became too shitposty for me but I maintain it’s the only sane political sub on Reddit. Would love to see it recreated here.
Yeah it’s not perfect, at worst I’ve found it a bit whiny but like you say at least they get me. I have a version of it on lemmy.world and ported over a couple posts to start but it’s kind of dead at the moment

I suppose we could, I’ve never moderated anything though. I might be too lazy, but then I might be giving reddit mods too much credit
