    If you really want to mess with their bottom line (mildly infuriate them back), find a way to return it if you are unsatisfied. Returns usually cost hardware companies a completely unreasonable amount of money compared to the margin on a single product.

    Inkjet printers are a marvel of cost-optimization though! That many precise mechanical parts with plastic gears, printing at such high resolution, and manufactured at scale is insane. The real cost in the return is generally the labor to process it, and will absorb the margin on selling quite a few units. Well, unless they just throw it in the landfill when you return it.

    Anyway, yeah Brother laser printers are great. It’s the only printer I’ve owned that I don’t have to think about.
