Recently, I’ve been playing a ton with blue card-draw engines and abilities. I’ve tried my hand at making a Tamiyo deck with a ton of wizards for a Modern deck but some experiments online has told me that I need more mana rocks. Such is life in learning that you always need more mana. Until you need less of it.

One deck that has proved fun though is a horrible combo I’ve developed with Bruvac the Grandiloquent and 30 Persistent Petitioners. I’ve also learned that making an opponent mill 24 cards in a turn will also label you threat number one. That one I expected. But that’s okay, because when you have Forced Fruition as shown above, any spell they cast continues to pull seven cards per spell! Sure does suck they have to discard down to seven cards at the end of their turn…

I love Dimir and the fun things blue and black mana can do combined. There’s a few Nezumi/“rat-people” from the Kamigawa set that reduce hand-size too…regardless, I originally didn’t have an appeal towards this set. The art started winning me over, before I started seeing some of the reprints; like from Lorwyn where this one originally came from. An amazing set that one.

Hope you’re all having a good weekend! Don’t think you need hexproof for this one.
