Thunder Junction! Yee-haw!

One of my favorite sets of this year, as much as everyone loves the fuzzy animals and cutesy set of Bloomburrow that just came out. The only set where I’ve read each card with the voice of Arthur Morgan from Red Dead in my head. The local game nights were fun too; everyone talking like a cowboy. I was a little skeptical at first, but when I heard that the story is an apocalyptic outlaw world with alien vaults scattered all over the surface that everyone is looking for I was immediately sold on the premise.

Some new abilities in this set, as you can see. Outlaws and “crimes” became a thing, actions you’d typically associate with mono-black mana are now considered “crimes”. Directly targeting/“casting murder” on a creature. Interacting with your graveyard. Stealing cards from hand/someone else’s library. Mounts/saddle! Just like the crew mechanic with vehicles, you can tap a creature with equivalent power to the saddle/mount/crew value.

Outlaws are self explanatory. You bet I started running a posse.
