My first Planeswalker I built a deck with! I think I’ve mentioned before that when it comes to color-combos that I’m a Dimir player. Shameless, maybe. There’s a certain pride that comes with making your opponents pull their fucking hair out. Maybe you’ve been on the receiving end, maybe on the giving end. We all have been in both positions as Magic players.

Blood-Chief Ascension with life-gain/life-loss decks. Chasm-Skulker and Phenax to build big Dimir stompers (Never thought you’d hear of that, eh?). There’s a lot of ways to play this card. The way Planeswalkers work is in a way self-explanatory. Unlike creatures in Magic, though, they can be targeted directly by other creatures without spells (specifically instants/sorceries) in order to damage them with a creature. This offers them an extra layer of vulnerability; balancing their crazy abilities. Most of the time, they’re meant to combo with other cards.

No flavor text for this one. I’ll leave you the flavor text from a card he’s quoted in, “Aphemia, The Cacophony.”

“Sing, beauty. Sing for death, and sing for the dead.”
